Tourism Development projects in Nepal
Project Overview
Project: Tourism Development projects in Nepal
Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
Duration: 2008 to 2009
Client: Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Government of Nepal
Address: Kathmandu, Nepal
Brief Description of the Project
The government of Nepal intended to develop a comprehensive strategy to increase its inbound tourism as the International tourist footfalls during the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 were an average of about 0.4 million per annum. Further, the footfalls were limited to the central Nepal region only, and therefore, they wanted to connect to other lesser-known locations through robust regional air connections. It involved the development of various tourism projects at destinations such as Kathmandu, Janakpur, Gokarna, etc. with the collaboration of private and government agencies.
